Route Description
The route begins near the summit of Mount Mottarone, following the L1 Trail, a traditional stone mule track featuring several steep and technical sections.
After approximately 2 kilometres, the trail briefly joins a paved road before continuing along a scenic mountainside single track, alternating flowing descents with enjoyable woodland sections.
Near Cascinone, the route briefly returns to the road before joining the Dorsale V Trail, one of the most scenic mountain bike routes on Mount Mottarone.
The trail then descends towards Pisogno, a small hamlet of Miasino, passing through peaceful woodland and following the Agogna Stream towards Coiromonte.
From here, follow the signs for the beautiful Passeggiata degli Alpeggi, which eventually reconnects with the provincial road from Armeno, leading back to the summit of Mount Mottarone and completing the loop.
