The descent from Mount Mottarone to Stresa is one of the most spectacular cycling routes on Lake Maggiore. This predominantly downhill ride takes you through forests, alpine meadows and breathtaking viewpoints, offering an exciting adventure surrounded by nature.
Starting at 1,490 metres above sea level and finishing on the shores of Lake Maggiore, the route descends almost 1,300 metres, combining forest tracks, scenic trails and unforgettable panoramic views.
Known as the Mountain of Seven Lakes, Mount Mottarone rises between Lake Maggiore and Lake Orta and is one of the most famous viewpoints in Piedmont. On clear days, you'll enjoy spectacular views stretching across the seven lakes, the Italian and Swiss Alps, Monte Rosa and the Po Valley.
