The Toce Reserve and the "Madonna del Boden" patroness of cyclists

 Meeting and bike distribution at 9.00 and departure for the plain of Fondotoce where the nature reserve is located.
From this oasis of protected nature, continue on the cycle path that runs alongside the stream: the flat and peaceful path invites to relax and reflect while the squirrels in the trees and the ducks in the river accompany you along the way.
Arrival in Ornavasso and climb towards the Sanctuary of the Madonna del Boden. The church stands at an altitude of 475 meters in a dominant position over the village and the Toce plain, on a flat strip (in Walser Boden means plateau) surrounded by thick chestnut woods.

The return to Stresa passes through Lake Mergozzo; here you can find the tradition of using stone and the history of the craftsmen who knew how to exploit it in the ancient houses and in the museum.

In the afternoon it is possible to continue up to Premosello to visit one of the only tea plantations in Italy; over 3 hectares of Camellia sinensis. A challenge that the Compagnia del lago decided to start in 2017 and which is becoming increasingly important for our area.
